2. Why We Collect

We collect this data solely to:

  • Provide the AI image detection service you requested.
  • Improve our detection models and service quality.
  • Prevent abuse, fraud, and unauthorized use of our service.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell, rent, or share your uploaded images or personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. How Long We Keep Data

Uploaded images: Automatically deleted within 24 hours of upload. Detection results (verdict, confidence score, metadata analysis) may be retained in anonymized form for service improvement.

IP addresses and device information: Retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention purposes.

4. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

  • Access: Request a copy of your personal data we hold (GDPR Art. 15).
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your data (GDPR Art. 17, CCPA deletion right).

While we take reasonable precautions, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

PixelTruth uses the following third-party services:

  • Vercel — hosting and serverless functions
  • HuggingFace — AI model inference

7. Cookies

PixelTruth uses minimal cookies for essential functionality (session management) and anonymous analytics. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. By using our service, you consent to essential cookies.

8. Legal Basis (GDPR)

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), our legal basis for processing your data includes:

If you upload images containing identifiable human faces, you acknowledge that facial images constitute special category personal data under GDPR Art. 9. By uploading such images, you represent that you have the legal right to do so and consent to our processing for detection purposes. We do not perform facial recognition or extract biometric identifiers — we only analyze whether the image is AI-generated.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted on our website. Continued use of PixelTruth after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
