1. Service Description

PixelTruth ("the Service") is an AI-assisted image analysis tool that provides detection of AI-generated images, including heatmaps, evidence cards, and forensic analysis. The Service is provided "as-is" for informational purposes only. Detection results are generated by machine learning models and image forensic algorithms and do not constitute forensic conclusions, legal opinions, or certified verification. The Service may produce false positives or false negatives.

2. User Responsibilities

By using PixelTruth, you agree that:

  • You will not upload images that contain illegal content, including but not limited to child sexual abuse material (CSAM), violent extremist content, or content that violates applicable laws.
  • You will not upload images that infringe on third-party intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or publicity rights without authorization.
  • You will not use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
  • You will not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the AI models used by the Service.
  • You will not use automated means (bots, scripts) to access the Service without prior written permission.
  • You are solely responsible for the images you upload and the consequences of uploading them.

3. Intellectual Property

Your Content: You retain all rights to the images you upload. By uploading, you grant PixelTruth a temporary, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process, analyze, and display the image solely for the purpose of providing the detection service. This license terminates upon automatic deletion of your image (within 24 hours).

Our Content: The detection results, heatmaps, evidence cards, reports, and all other outputs generated by PixelTruth ("Analysis Outputs") are owned by PixelTruth. You may use Analysis Outputs for personal, non-commercial purposes. Commercial use of Analysis Outputs requires a Pro or Team subscription.

PixelTruth Brand: The name "PixelTruth," our logo, website design, and software code are our intellectual property and may not be used without permission.

4. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

PixelTruth does not warrant that:

  • Detection results will be accurate, reliable, or error-free.
  • The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, or secure.
  • Any errors or defects will be corrected.

AI detection is inherently probabilistic. PixelTruth makes no guarantees about the accuracy of its determinations regarding whether an image is AI-generated or authentic. Users should not rely solely on PixelTruth results for critical decisions without independent verification.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PixelTruth and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

  • Your use or inability to use the Service.
  • Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service.
  • Any content obtained from the Service, including reliance on detection results.
  • Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.

In no event shall PixelTruth's total liability to you for all claims exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim, or USD $100, whichever is greater.

6. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PixelTruth and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, including for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

8. Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Hong Kong SAR, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Hong Kong, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by posting the updated Terms on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
